Are Cheez-Its in the UK? (You Need to Know!)

Cheez-Its are available in the UK, but often require online purchase as supermarket stock is inconsistent. Not all 14 flavors available in the US can be found in the UK. Alternatives include Cheeselets, Cheese Savouries, and Mini Cheddars for those preferring local purchases.

What Are Cheez-Its?

I don’t know about you, but I love a cheese-flavored snack, and was delighted when I came across Cheez-Its!

If you are not familiar with this cheesy delicacy, I thought I would discuss what it is before moving on to the subject of where you can buy it.

Cheez-Its originated in the United States in 1921 and soon became a popular item, thanks to their crunchy texture.

They are currently manufactured by the Kellogg Company

Cheez-Its are a type of small cracker, and as you can guess by their name, are strongly flavored with cheese.

The original version was made with Cheddar, and there are now around 14 varieties available, including the very popular Hot & Spicy and Cheddar Jack options.

Surprisingly, Cheez-Its are made with real cheese!

Can You Buy Cheez-Its in the UK?

Now, let’s tackle the question of whether you can buy Cheez-Its in the UK!

The simple answer is yes, but it’s not as easy as you may think.

Three of the country’s largest supermarkets, Asda, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s, are said to stock them.

But, last time I checked, they were not available at any of them.

Certainly, not to purchase in-store, and not online either.

But, of course, there may be regional variations, and Cheez-Its could be available in the bigger cities.

So, that leaves us with just one option, really, and that is to buy them online.

And, of course, Amazon is our best friend here, but other retailers may also sell them.

What Flavor Cheez-Its Are Available in the UK?

Having established that you can buy Cheez-Its in the UK, are the same flavors available?

Currently, there are 14 different varieties in the US, and at a glance at Amazon, nearly all of them seem to be available in the UK too.

Certainly, the most popular flavors are covered, including Original, Extra Cheesy, Hot & Spicy, Cheese Pizza, and Extra Toasty.

It’s worth mentioning that typically, you will need to purchase Cheez-Its by the box rather than individual bags.

But this is also a good way of trying other flavors, as you can get a mixed box with several different varieties.

One thing to be aware of is that the taste and texture may not be the same as your American favorites.

If the Chez-Its are manufactured here rather than imported, then they will have to meet UK specifications and regulations.

Are There Any UK Alternatives to Cheez-Its?

If you are unable to find Cheez-Its in some parts of the UK or prefer not to order online, what alternatives should you look out for?

Thankfully, there are lots of similar crunchy, cheesy snacks to try.

If you are not familiar with them, look for the terms cheese crackers or savory biscuits on the labeling.

Some specific products include Cheese Nips, Ritz crackers, Cheeselets, Cheese Savories, and Mini Cheddars.

You could also try Tuc biscuits or Wotsits, which have a great cheese flavor but without the satisfying crunch!

And don’t forget the cheese version of Doritos, one of my particular favorites!
